Junior Investment Analyst Renewables

SHV Energy has made a strategic decision to establish new businesses focused on renewable energy that works in parallel to their 'core business'. SHV Energy understands the importance of adapting to industry changes and wishes to be at the forefront of the global energy transition. Ultimately, this new business will help to determine the future of SHV Energy.

As an investment analyst, you will work in a small international team fully committed to expanding SHV Energy’s Renewable Energy footprint. In this role you will be responsible for the growth of our current portfolio of companies, scout and organize our pipeline portfolio with overall industry insights as well as contributing to new investment processes

The key activities are:

Provide support on the monthly portfolio activities

• Work closely with the portfolio of companies to deliver and improve on the monthly reporting (actuals and forecasts), dashboards etc.
• Take ownership of, and update relevant deal flow tools

Build and share expertise on the energy markets and business opportunities

• Monitor energy transition market trends and development
• Distil relevant market trends to provide input into SHV Energy’s renewable solution strategy

Support due diligence and deal process for future M&A activities

• Review and analyze potential M&A targets financial strength through financial statement analysis
• Support more senior team members in pre-valuation and due diligence work streams
• Provide required financial information for investment proposals

Create, review and manage project financial models and present to the investment committee/relevant stakeholders

• Prepare investor project finance models, reports and presentations
• Support market research to better understand market dynamics and key players
• Engage with advisors to get insight and access to targets

What we are looking for:

• Ability in creating reporting structures and trackable frameworks
• Interest and motivated by being part of the energy transition product and service offering for commercial and industrial customers
• Financial modelling knowledge from the infrastructure sector, ideally within renewables
• Knowledge of governance processes, investor presentations
• Financial statement analysis
